Other things of note, I saw a "wanted" poster in the Miyajima ferry station. In some public toilets, there is a small seat in the cubicles to put your baby in while you take your dump. Kids must be traumatised here. Also in Hiroshima I saw my Dad's Japanese doppleganger, see below.

Miyajima
The battery on my phone died through the night so my alarm didn't go off. Check out time was 11am and I woke up when the other guy in the room was leaving at 10.50am. I used the toilet which was my first Japanese toilet experience. What an experience it was. When I'm a home owner I will be importing one. There are several buttons beside the toilet, controls for heating the seat and 2 different ways of cleaning your bum, a good hosing or a spray, there isn't too much difference between them but it is epic. After a quick shower, I packed up everything and went downstairs to charge my phone. I walked to the station and got a train to Miyajimaguchi and the ferry to Miyajima which is a very small island. It was really nice and deer roamed free and were feeling comfortable around people. There was a sign saying not to touch or tease the deer. Was worded in an odd way. There was also a sign saying don't touch the raccoons as they might bite you and you'd need a tetnas shot. I didn't see any raccoons. I visited the shrine and went to my first temple in Japan. It was really nice. I got the ferry back at 5pm and arrived back in Fukusaki at about 9pm as I had to a while for a train from Hiroshima to Himeji. Philip met me at the train station and we got dinner in a nice Japanese restaurant. Was a long tiring day that required a few cups of "cohee" to keep me going.
