I left Dublin Friday at lunchtime and the flight was delayed. I was being put up for the night by Paula and Enrique. Their place is on the Picadilly line which was very handy going straight from Heathrow. The train was delayed leaving Heathrow due to "a drunk customer`s vomit being cleaned up". I thought it was funny that the driver announced full details. It was a long train ride and I arrived to their place at about 6pm. Myself and Paula went straight out and met Enrique and some of his friends. We had a drink in Leicster Square and Leire joined us there. We then all went to a Japanese restaurant to "prepare me". I learned that I wasnt fond of the drink Sake but the food was great. We had a few drinks in Camden Market in a Cuban bar (what an Irish bar is to me, I guess thats how the Spanish feel at home). Leire departed us to get the tube home and we went for one last drink in a nice pub filled with weird people. Back at the house, I waited for Paula and Enrique to leave the living room where I would be sleeping before taking off my boots. It was a long day !! I was up early the following morning to be back in Heathrow for 10.30am. It was really great seeing Paula and Leire again and meeting Enrique.
In Heathrow at the gate, my experience with Japanese people began. I watched a few groups of people take photos of their departure gate. I`m known for being snappy happy but I think the Japanese reputation which seems to be true is worse than me.
I unfortunately got a middle seat on the plane and the guy on the outside got up to pee twice for the whole trip. I disturbed him once and got up when he got up. My long legs were cramping at one stage but he slept the whole trip. I watched Buried, very good film and the always amazing Expendables. I didn`t get a wink of sleep on the plane. I was glad to arrive in Tokyo Narita.
