Takaoka, Baseball & Dinner

On Monday we got up and Eric drove us to Takaoka. This was a town near Koreha, Eric's town. We strolled around the park and visited a giant Buddah. We circled back to the car and drove to a big temple in Takaoka that was built to resemble the shape of a man. When we were walking back to the car 2 drunk old Japanese men asked Philip where we were from. "Irurando" to which one bluntly replied that he never heard of it and knew nothing about it and walked away. People thinking Ireland and Iceland is quite a common thing too.
We got lunch in a Brazilian restaurant. That was an amazing burger. The people in the restaurant seemed to know Eric. He said they did amazing meat markets. After Takaoka, Eric drove us to batting cages. we started off easy with the baseballs coming at us at 80km/h. We were all doing well hitting them so we stepped up to 100km/h. it was quite sore on the wrists, fingers and stomach but after adjusting to the faster speed we all seemed to do well too considering Eric was the only one to go a batting cage before and was only one time.
After the batting cage, we went back Eric's apartment to get ready to have dinner with his Eikaiwa class (English converstaion class). we went to an Italian restaurant but it was very French too. The food was great and the people who felt confident talking made for good conversation.
